Greetings, I’m Christian Directo, a multidisciplinary creative and aspiring public servant driven by design, strategy, and storytelling.
Born in Tutuhan, Guam, I was raised in a family shaped by military service, where discipline, structure, and accountability were not just values but expectations. Growing up in that environment instilled in me an early appreciation for organization, leadership, and responsibility—principles that continue to guide both my academic and professional pursuits.
My academic and professional journey has been shaped by a deep curiosity about how ideas move people—through media, branding, culture, and ultimately, public service.
What began as an early interest in creative work has evolved into a focused pursuit of communication, leadership, and making a meaningful impact.

My Story
I am currently pursuing triple majors in Marketing, Journalism & Media Studies, and Communication Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with an expected graduation date of December 2026.
Alongside this, I am completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Project Management at the College of Southern Nevada. To date, I have earned five college degrees, each contributing a different lens through which I approach problem-solving, organization, and creative strategy.
My long-term academic goals include pursuing both a Juris Doctor and an MBA at UNLV’s Boyd School of Law, as I prepare for a future that blends law, leadership, and public engagement.

My Experience
Outside the classroom, my professional experience has allowed me to apply theory to real-world practice. I have worked in content strategy, marketing analysis, and digital communications across various organizations, including Engaged Nation and Zappos.
These roles strengthened my ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze campaign performance, manage complex workflows, and translate data into actionable insights.
Whether coordinating content through CMS platforms, testing digital campaigns, or supporting media sample logistics for national brands, I have consistently brought a detail-oriented and systems-focused approach to my work.

My Practice
In 2013, I founded Directo, LLC, a personal holding company that houses my entrepreneurial and creative ventures, including fashion resale, archival preservation, and graphic design. Through this work, I have developed a strong appreciation for structure, aesthetics, and intentional organization.
I am known for meticulously cataloging digital files, curating physical collections, and preserving materials with care—because I believe every idea, asset, and story deserves a place and a purpose.

My Reason
What drives me most is the intersection of media, culture, and influence. I am deeply interested in fashion, politics, and digital culture, and how visual language and narrative shape identity and public perception.
Long-term, I aspire to serve my community through political leadership and public service. In the present, I am focused on learning, building experience, and refining my voice as a communicator who values clarity, ethics, and impact.
Beyond professional work, I remain committed to service. I currently volunteer with the Asian Community Development Council and Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, supporting outreach initiatives that prioritize dignity, inclusion, and access to resources.
These experiences continue to ground my academic and career ambitions in real community needs.
